Story #1

Hootie & Tabitha

A very grumpy owl just wants his morning coffee. A very cheerful cat wants to chop down his house. What starts with a BANG ends with a trek through a wonky magical forest, a rabbit with surprising arms, and a friendship nobody saw coming.

Every Silly Taters story grows into things you can read, watch, play and make.

The tater recipe

How we cook a story

Seven ingredients go into everything we make. Boiling and mashing are optional.

  1. No. 1

    Play first

If it isn't fun, it doesn't leave the kitchen.

  2. No. 2

    Learning hides inside

No lectures. Just discoveries you find on your own.

  3. No. 3

    Notice things

Look closer. There is always something odd in the forest.

  4. No. 4

    Everything connects

One world across books, cartoons, games and comics.

  5. No. 5

    Layers for all ages

Toddlers laugh at the fall. Grown-ups laugh at the joke underneath.

  6. No. 6

    Make, don't just watch

Every story ends with something to draw, build or colour.

  7. No. 7

    Silly with heart

Big laughs, and friends who turn up for each other.

  8. …and a pinch of silly.
